The New York Times on Thursday profiled a Lubavitcher cybersecrurity expert who believes he found the “atomic bomb” of malware attacks that is lurking undetected, waiting to be set off to devastate computer systems around the world.

Alternate Side Rules Suspended Monday, Tuesday
Alternate side parking (street cleaning) regulations will be suspended Monday and Tuesday, June 26-27, for a Muslim holiday. All other regulations, including parking meters, remain in effect.

Second Court Ruling Allows Kapporos to Proceed
On Friday, June 23, a California state court rejected an “animal rights” organization’s challenge to the ancient Jewish practice of Kapporos by Chabad of Irvine, allowing the synagogue to proceed with the ceremony before Tom Kippur this year. The court is the second since May to reject a lawsuit brought against the synagogue by these activists.

JNet Dinner Highlights the Power of Mivtza Torah
Earlier this month, hundreds gathered at the Jewish Children’s Museum to look back on another successful year at JNet. The theme of the evening, “A Chossid Macht a Seviva” (a Chossid creates an environment), was especially apt as the room was permeated with tremendous pride, for being part of a greater good and for reigniting another Jew’s spark.

A mother was driving in a rainstorm on a major road, her four young children in the car, when the car broke down. She was able to steer onto the shoulder of the road and got out of the car, hoping a motorist will stop by and assist her. However, five, ten and thirty long minutes passed and the cars just zoomed by her.
