Palestinian Arab media reported that IDF soldiers on Wednesday night demolished the home of Islam Abu Hamid, the terrorist who murdered IDF fighter Sergeant Ronen Lubarsky in May of 2018.
Benny Gantz Receives Mandate to Form Israeli Government
President Reuven Rivlin gave the mandate to form the next government to Blue and White leader Benny Gantz Wednesday night. The mandate was passed on to Gantz after Prime Minister Netanyahu announced that he was unable to form a coalition and returned the mandate to the president earlier this week.

Blue and White leader Benny Gantz will receive the mandate to form a government from President Reuven Rivlin tomorrow night at 8:00pm, the President’s office announced Tuesday evening.

Terrorist Neutralized After Ramming Attack on Border Police
A terrorist who allegedly tried to carry out a ramming attack against undercover Border Police officers and hit an armored vehicle was neutralized and evacuated in serious condition to the hospital. Border Police said that heavy damage was caused to the armored vehicle in which the fighters had been, but there were no IDF casualties.
Improvised Bomb Found During Secured Entry into Joseph’s Tomb
Last night, IDF fighters, Border Police forces, Israel Police and the Civil Administration secured the entry of about 1,350 visitors into the tomb of Joseph, located in Shechem. During the entry, an improvised explosive device was found and neutralized by the fighters. Prayers continued as planned.

Report: Israel Conducted Nuclear Experiment in 1979
The Foreign Policy magazine reports that Israel conducted a nuclear experiment 40 years ago over the Atlantic Ocean. On September 22, 1979, an American reconnaissance satellite recorded a double flash over the South Atlantic. US military analysts at the Patrick Air Force Base in Florida quickly concluded the flashes were a nuclear detonation.
Israel to Cut Power Supply to PA Over Unpaid Debts
Israel’s national electricity company said Sunday it was cutting power to parts of the Palestinian Authority due to outstanding payments amounting to nearly $483 million. The Israel Electric Corporation said it was owed 1.7 billion shekels in debts from the main power distributor for Palestinian Authority-controlled towns in Judea and Samaria, which is based in eastern Jerusalem.
Armenia to Open Embassy in Israel
The Armenian government decided on Thursday to open an embassy in Israel for the first time since relations were established between the two nations in 1992. The embassy will be opened in Tel Aiv and not Jerusalem.
Chabad Support for UTJ Party Grows
The number of Chabad hasidim who voted for the Ashkenazic-haredi UTJ party grew significantly since April’s elections. “This is an important achievement for UTJ, which for the first time since 1988 received the majority of the Chabad votes, including those in Kfar Chabad,” UTJ said.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and his main challenger, Blue and White chief Benny Gantz, remain deadlocked Wednesday after Tuesday’s Knesset election, raising the possibility of a unity government or even the possibility of a third general election.
