Politicians Hold Press Conference in Wake of 770 Stabbing
New York City activists and politicians held a press conference Tuesday afternoon in the wake of the stabbing of 22-year-old Levi Rosenblat, a rabbinical student studying in the main sanctuary of 770 Eastern Parkway – the Lubavitch World Headquarters. They called for unity and calm, and commended the responding police officers for their restraint.

The NYPD has revealed the identity of the man who was fatally shot last night by an officer inside 770 after he stabbed 22-year-old Yeshiva student Levi Rosenblat in the head with a large knife.
Stabbing Victim’s Condition Takes a Turn for the Worse
Levi Rosenblatt, the 22-year-old rabbinical student who was stabbed earlier this morning in the 770 Eastern Parkway synagogue, has been placed in an induced coma after doctors discovered internal bleeding that is putting pressure on his brain.
Update: Surgery performed successfully. Victim’s condition is improving and vitals are strong.

Last week Mayer Kohn, a Williamsburg grocery store owner, accused the Taxi and Limousine Commission of “stealing” his employee’s car when they impounded it and improperly issued him a $2,000 summons, all this based on an inspector’s accusation that the vehicle was being used as an “illegal” taxi.
