Hundreds of women turned out Sunday evening for the auction and evening of entertainment benefiting Lubavitcher Yeshiva. Following the auction viewing, which was compliment by delicious hot food, the crowd packed into the smaller hall for live cake decorating competition, titled ‘Kosher Cake Boss’. A panel of judges then chose the best decorated cake. Winners List added.
Slowdown Over: Cops Out in Force Giving Tickets
In a clear sign that the unofficial ‘work slowdown’ by NYPD officers had come to an end, cops have been out in force in Crown Heights giving tickets for driving and parking infractions.
Lubavitcher Boy Competes in Classical Music Contest
Pinchas Antal, a 14-year-old Lubavitcher boy from Montreal, has entered a classical music contest being hosted by the CBC (Canada’s national public broadcaster). His entry video, in which he artfully performs an 8-minute-long classical piece on a grand piano, can be viewed in the extended article.

Kids Bake for Homeless in Ontario
It might have been frosty outside, but the atmosphere inside of Chabad Lubavitch of Markham in Canada was toasty as 150 people gathered last Sunday to bake muffins for Toronto’s homeless. It was the latest effort in a new initiative urging the Jewish ideal of tikkun olam, “the repair of the world.”
