California Shliach Curates Unique Judaica Collection

When Cupertino, California representative Rabbi Reuven Goldstein visited New York’s Morgan Museum in 2010, he saw an original Mishneh Torah, written in Maimonides’s own hand. The rabbi, who has always been interested in Jewish history, was inspired to start a collection of old Jewish books. His first piece was the Soncino Talmud from the year 1515, the first Talmud to be printed.

Women Raise Funds for Cancer Care at London Gala

When 125 women gather together, it must be for something worthwhile. On Tuesday, 16th January, a partnership between Chai Cancer Care and Chabad Buckhurst Hill resulted in a Gala Dinner that not only raised money for Chai Cancer Care but also raised awareness of the difference that this charity can make to enable individuals and families suffering with cancer to feel cared for and never simply left alone.

Kids Bake Challahs, Honor Firefighters

Challah bakers of all ages, accompanied by their parents, gathered on on Martin Luther King Day and had “loaves of fun” baking challah from scratch along with friends from across Orange County in upstate New York. The Kids Mega Challah Bake was organized by Chabad of Orange County, led by Rabbi Pesach and Chana Burston, and was held at the Monroe Lakeside Fire & Rescue Co.

Young European Shluchim Enjoy Winter Camp

Over 80 boys and 90 girls from nine European countries including Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Latvia, Northern Cyprus, Sweden, Turkey, Hungary and Poland, traveled to Zhytomyr and Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine, for a week full of friends, activities, chassidishe chayus and inspiration at “Shluchim Shtetl”, a winter camp geared specifically for Hebrew speaking Shluchim all over Europe, currently in it’s 6th year.
