In a conversation with the victim, he related that he saw the assailant walking towards him on the other side of the street and thought nothing of him, but after passing him he heard running behind him followed by the sudden strike to the back of his head.
He immediately screamed out for help, which prompted one of the Bochurim in 1414 (the Kvutseh Dormitory) to call Shomrim, who responded immediately and determined that the Bochur should receive medical attention. An attempt was then made to ID and apprehend the assailant, which was unsuccessful due in part to the very rainy weather which made it hard to notice any distinguishable characteristics of the attacker, and the victim’s unawareness. Hatzalah responded and took the Bochur to Kings County Hospital where he was treated for the head injury.

Bochur Assaulted on Kingston and President
At 3:20am a Bochur was assaulted by a black male wielding a nightstick as he was walking up Kingston Ave, the assault took place on the corner of President and Kingston, where the black male struck the Bochur with the collapsible nightstick in the back of his head, then fled up Kingston Ave. towards Eastern Parkway.
