The officers were assigned to Transit Division 32 which are the officers that patrol the subway lines and platforms.

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — Fleeing the scene of an accident is never a good idea, especially when you leave behind one of your license plates. A man in a Pontiac sedan was driving down Empire Boulevard and careened into a parked mini-van and a truck, mangling his own car.
Baltimore, MD — Mr. Arthur Goldstein, a member of the Lubavitcher community of Baltimore, tragically died in an auto accident at 9:00 a.m. yesterday morning.
According to a Maryland State Trooper who spoke to VIN News, Mr. Goldstein was on the east-bound interchange ramp between Highway I-70 and I-695 when his vehicle hit a guardrail. Mr. Goldstein was declared dead by the medical examiner who arrived shortly at the scene.

The incident happened when a commercial van short stopped, causing a chain of events. A pickup truck behind him shorts stopped as well, however a mini-van behind him couldn’t stop on time and rear-ended the pickup.
