Crash Leaves SUV on its Roof

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] – A high power impact between two SUV’s left one of them on its roof, and trapping its driver behind the wheel of his car. The incident happened this morning at the intersection of Schenectady Avenue and Maple Street.

One of the cars did not stop for the stop sign and the two cars collided, the force of the impact spun it around and flipping it over. The SUV sustained serious damage and the driver was unable to get out.

FDNY were first on scene and put the ‘Hurst Tool’, also known as the Jaws of Life, to use and tore off the door, then freed the driver.

A total of seven passengers from all the cars required medical attention and were all transported to local hospitals.

    this is more of a quiet street with less traffic, people think they can speed or not stop here, but we must be careful no matter the street bec. it takes 2 to tangle.

    why in the world didn’t the driver stop? was he in a hurry to get somewhere? doesn’t he know the saying “better to waste 2 minutes of your life, then in 2 minutes waste a life”? and why are the firemen just sitting around and doing nothing?

    Who decided that They did not stop at the stop sign?!
    I always stop and I have a very hard time seeing the oncoming speeding traffic.

    I think even today i could’nt see the cars comming down schenectady because of a JEEP parked at the corner on Schenectady!.

    JEEPS and VANS should NEVER park at the corner of a stop sign!!

    Its very hard to fuly stop at a stop sign when you have impateint Taxi and AF drivers Beeping you and swerving around you!

    once i just tried to quickly make a full stop and to my surprise the person behind hunkning was a Yid?!

    Why did they recently put a traffic light on Maple and TROY where there is little and slow traffic,
    and @ Schenectady and Maple with speeding hidden cars there is a Stop sign??

    You think the fireman are doing nothing just because there is a picture there showing them standing there! you are ignorant idiots that just believe everything as its shown to you. You assume that that picture was taken while people were trapped in the car.

    What you morons dont know is that the fireman were 2nd on scene(after nypd) and they sprang into action using the jaws of life to cut the people out of the cars they were trapped in. Then they got everyone stabilized and put on stretchers.

    That picture was taken after they SAVED everyone you stupid ignorant idiots. Go find something else to do with your time than analyzing what the true heroes of the city are doing for you. You are the reason why everyone outside our community thinks we are so ungrateful. How about saying good job to the FDNY and NYPD every once in a while

    Thank you to our FDNY for arriving so quickly and rescuing the trapped motorist!

    Thank you NYPD for sending the two people in the mechanic truck and clearing the broken car out of the roadway after the emergency was over!

    If you may I will correct you…. EMS Showed up first to the scene. PD showed up last after FDNY.
