As the school year comes to a close, people the world over celebrate accomplishments. CTeen is no exception. Dozens of chapters across the globe marked their graduating leaders this June with award ceremonies. From France to California, over elegant luncheons and sit-down dinners, the hard work of the CTeen leaders and volunteers were acknowledged and applauded.

The story of the Frierdiker Rebbe’s arrest and interrogation in 1921 in the city of Rostov-on-Don (which occurred prior to his arrest, exile and liberation in 1927) became well-known in the early 1940s, and has been a source of powerful inspiration ever since. As we mark 90 years since the liberation of the sixth Lubavitcher Rebbe from Soviet incarceration, a new book by Kehot Publication Society provides hitherto unknown details of the role in the saga played by his daughter, Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka, and eventual son-in-law, the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson.
