This Shabbos at the Besht: Rabbi Leib Aber was on shlichus in Sydney Australia for 30 years. He taught in the schools there and gave regular shiurim to men. He has a passion for chassidus. Now that their children are B”H grown and living near New York, he and his wife have settled in Crown Heights to continue their shlichus here. He will speak on the topic of Netzach – Overcoming Obstacles.

Only Copy of US Recognition of Israel Signed by Truman Up for Auction
For an estimated $300,000, somebody can now own a piece of American and Israeli history. The only known copy of the press release signed by president Harry Truman in which the US recognized Israel is being put up for sale by the Raab Collection, a Philadelphia-based company that buys and sells historic documents.

Elderly Woman Slashed and Another Man Injured in Attempted Robbery in Crown Heights
Two teenagers attempted to rob an elderly lady at knife point in the President St subway station Thursday. The lady was slashed, and a witness injured as he attempted to intervene in the botched robbery. The teenagers fled, evading the police for now.
