Rabbi Adin Even-Israel (Steinsaltz), the world-famous Talmudist, Kabbalist, educator, community rabbi, philosopher, prolific author—and, above all, devoted Chassid—who was internationally regarded as one of the leading rabbis of this century, and was once hailed by Time magazine as a “once-in-a-millennium scholar,” passed away in Jerusalem on Aug. 7. He was 83 years old.

The printing was carried out by instruction of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, in three Lebanese cities that were formerly populated by thriving Jewish communities, and which at the time were under IDF control.

US President Donald Trump on Thursday issued an executive order barring any transactions between US companies and the Chinese parent company of TikTok beginning in 45 days.The order essentially forces the parent company, ByteDance, to divest from TikTok, or face a ban from operating in the United States.
