Crown Heights [CHI] — A fire broke out on the top floor of a high-rise apartment building early Thursday, right across the street from Bnos Menachem girls’ school. The fire has left an 89-year-old woman in critical condition.
At around 4:00 PM today, a minivan burst into flames on Crown St. Between Kingston and Albany Ave., just as students from the nearby Lubavitcher Yeshiva were making their way home.

CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — A series of explosions brought out the residents on Empire Boulevard who wondered what caused the loud noises. After 911 were called firefighters responded and determined that the explosions were caused by an electric manhole fire.
Several cars driving through the blizzard last night, Sunday burst into flames. The cars got stuck in the snow and tried to accelerate their way out of the snow.
