Suspicious Fire in 770 Worries Officials
CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — An apparent electrical fire broke out this morning in the ‘Tifferes Zekainim’ room of 770. Firefighters extinguished the fire within seconds, but remained on the scene to investigate after graffiti was discovered.
The spray painted image looked either like a leaf from a cannabis plant or an image of flames, and was taken very seriously by the fire marshals and police. Despite being unsure if it is related, they are checking out all possibilities.
One source told us, βthe fire in all likelihood, 99% sure, was accidental; we just want to be 100% positive.β
The fire started in the bathroom of the Tifferes Zekainim, which is used as a storage closet. A box speaker caught fire for unknown reasons.
