At around 12:30pm on Shabbos afternoon, a melee broke out on the corner of Albany Avenue and Crown Street as the congregants of several Shuls in the vicinity rushed outside to the sounds of a Jewish woman’s blood-curling screams.

Detectives Remembered on the 50th Anniversary of their Death
50 years ago on this day two detectives from the 71st Precinct made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. While investigating a complaint, detectives James A. A man was shot and killed while riding a bike on Union Street. Police are calling the homicide a ‘well planned execution’.
Hooliganism: Dozens of Teenagers go on Vandalism Spree
