While visiting a terminally ill girl from his community, Shliach in Coral Springs Rabbi Avraham Friedman encountered the fictional character batman in the flesh, who was also visiting terminal patients and raising their sprits. Turns out he was Jewish, and a Karkafta as well.

Queens Subway Murderer Arrested in Crown Heights
The suspect wanted in connection with the shoving of a Hindu man on a Queens subway platform, which resulted in his death after being struck by an oncoming train, was apprehended in Crown Heights after police was tipped off.

On one occasion, he asked the Rebbe what date to commemorate. The Rebbe advised him that since Rabonim are considered kings, and the month of Nissan is considered the New Year for kings, therefore he should commemorate his birthday in Nissan.
