Queens Subway Murderer Arrested in Crown Heights
The suspect wanted in connection with the shoving of a Hindu man on a Queens subway platform, which resulted in his death after being struck by an oncoming train, was apprehended in Crown Heights after police was tipped off.
The mumbling woman wanted for pushing an Indian immigrant to his death in front of a Queens train was charged with murder as a hate crime Saturday, the Queens district attorney said.
Erika Menendez, 31, who was picked up by police after she was spotted near Bedford Ave. and Empire Blvd. in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, was charged with second-degree murder as a hate crime, law enforcement sources and Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said.
During questioning, Menendez allegedly said:
