I have always supported KSCVK. Devorah is always there for our community and hundreds upon hundreds of families in our community and shluchim around the world have only been able to make Chasunos because of KSCVK. Last night was the men’s event for the Chinese auction. I was a volunteer. The food was great! The ambiance was great! The entertainment was amazing! The crowd was a little smaller than last year. It seemed like less money came in than usual. A lot of the big spenders are our of town. I asked after they counted and the numbers are down.
Boys School First to Put on “Production”
A boy’s school in Crown Heights is the first to be putting on a “production”, much like the ones commonly done by girls schools. The production will be based on Yud Shvat and organizers are calling it “epic!”

Hundreds turned out on Motzai Shabbos for an evening of food an entertainment benefiting Keren Simchas Chosson VeKallah, the organization which assists with wedding expenses. The crowd enjoyed a lavish buffet followed by the amazing entertainment of Oz Pearlman, who using mind tricks kept the crowd riveted.

Op-Ed: New York’s Bid to Control Religious Schools
Ahead of the release of guidelines from the State Education Department regarding instruction at religious and other private schools, Avi Schick – a member of the Dentons’ Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice and attorney for PEARLS – wrote an op-ed recently published in the Wall Street Journal. In the piece, Avi argues that New York’s plan is not only inconsistent with the law, but may also have the unintended effect of requiring the State to provide billions of dollars in school aid annually to non-public schools.
