The nurse entered the Frierdiker Rebbe’s study room and saw that the color in his face wasn’t its usual color, and he was sitting in his chair motionless. Going over to see that everything is alright, she was startled when he didn’t respond to her inquiries or any of the noise she intentionally created to get his attention.

These days the spacious grounds of Yeshivas Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch in the suburbs of Moscow is hosting Camp Gan Yisroel for dozens of young shluchim, along with their dedicated counselors, head counselors and staff. As is customary in Lubavitch, to have one of the sheva brachos celebration in Yeshivas Tomchei Tmimim, chasan Menachem Mendel Lazar and his new wife came to Camp Gan Yisroel to celebrate together with the young campers, children of Shluchim, in what turned out to be a most emotional and lively celebration.

Last Friday night was no ordinary one for 1,500 young adults in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Students and young Jewish professionals celebrated Shabbat dinner at the La Rural convention center. The body of 12-year old Israeli girl Nicole Surkin, killed in a driving accident in Khabarovsk in the Far-East of Russia yesterday, will be flown to its final resting place in Israel tomorrow morning.
