Yosef Karduner, world famous musician and performer, will be coming to Crown Heights this Motzei Shabbat (Saturday, October 20th). Karduner played for a packed house in Crown Heights venues in the past. The show received largely positive reviews and due to the demand, a new show has been planned for this year, at Wine by the Case (511 Empire Boulevard)

Rocket From Gaza Hits Home in Beer Sheba

A rocket fired from the Gaza Strip overnight Tuesday exploded near a home in the southern Israeli city of Be’er Sheva. Magen David Adom paramedics gave medical treatment to a woman about 50 years of age and a 40-year-old man who suffered light injuries while running to a protected area. In addition, a 20-year-old woman who suffered from shock was evacuated to the Soroka Hospital.

New Shluchim to Mexico to Take Special Sefer Torah With Them

In November, Rabbi Daniel and Raizel Huebner will move with their three children from New Jersey to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, to run a Chabad center. They’ll be taking with them a traveling Torah dedicated by Rabbi Tuvia Teldon, regional director of Lubavitch of Long Island, and his wife, Chaya, in honor of their son Boruch, who passed away 27 years ago at the age of 13 from complications related to cystic fibrosis.

Friendship Circle Brooklyn’s Annual Volunteer Kickoff

Just a few days after the hectic Tishrei schedule came to an end, many Crown Heights high school girls gathered for Friendship Circle Brooklyn’s Annual Volunteer Kickoff! The only program to be offered to ALL local girls high schools, representatives from Bais Rivkah, Bnos Menachem, Bnos Chomesh, Chabad Girls Academy and Beis Chaya Mushka joined together to volunteer for an important organization in the community.
