Rockets Fired From Gaza, Iron Dome Intercepts
Sirens were sounded on Wednesday night, shortly after midnight, in the Eshkol Regional Council of southern Israel. The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit confirmed that one rocket that was fired from Gaza into Israeli territory was intercepted by the Iron Dome.

Two New Jersey Teens Honored for Meal Program Initiative
It’s not very common for teenagers to be the honorees at a gala event, but that’s exactly what happened on May 22 at Chabad of Southeast Morris County in New Jersey. Oliver Simon and Sophia Smith, a high school junior and senior respectively, were awarded the first Teen Visionary Award at the annual Chabad Cares Gala, alongside three adult leaders.
BDE: Velvel Pasternak, 86, OBM
Musicologist and publisher Velvel Pasternak, who published more than 150 volumes of Jewish music, has died. Pasternak, who pioneer in recording some of the first records of Nigunim for Lubavitch, the Nichoach series, died on Tuesday in New York City at the age of 86.
