In a historic first, the doors to 770 were chained shut for more than a few hours. The entire 770 has been shut due to a psak from the Rabbonim of Crown Heights to shut all shuls and men’s Mikvahs in the community.

Reminder that as per the Beis Din of Crown Heights and medical professionals, anyone over the age of 65, and those who are high risk should not be out in public..
After the Rabbonim published a ban on those over the age of 65 from venturing out in public, the Gabboim of 770 posted signs on the doors notifying those over the age not to enter.
Practice social distancing they said. It will be fun they said. These members of the Crown Heights Jewish community enjoyed a Minyan Maariv outdoors and well separated.

As fear of the spread of the Novel Coronavirus into the Crown Heights Jewish community takes hold, a sign was posted in 770 urging everyone to wash their hands each time they enter the shul.
The Aliyah Shul on East New York Ave in Crown Heights has seen extensive renovations this year. One of the upgrades happens to be the front doorway, which for the second time, is sponsored in memory of Schabse Noach, by Crown Heights businessman Shaya Gordon and his wife Chanie.

While returning from an emergency call, a group of Crown Heights Hatzalah volunteers stopped to help a stranded Lubavitcher power his electric vehicle on the side of the Jackie Robinson Parkway. With time to spare as the car powered up, the crew posed with the stranded motorist and snapped this photo.
Williamsbug Shomrim put their new patrol car to good use Motzei Shabbos as it helped secure the area of the New York State Armory in Williamsburg. Thousands of Shluchim have descended on the armory as part of the International Kinus Hashluchos this weekend. The Shluchos attended workshops and meals at the armory throughout the weekend.
This past Friday, an elderly Jewish Russian couple officially got married at the Chabad synagogue for Soviet immigrants located on Herzl Street in Haifa. The Chosen is 96 years old and the Kallah is 91, they are both Holocaust survivors.

Senior Israeli Journalist Amit Segal took a tour of 770 Wednesday while on a visit to Crown Heights. He made a stop in the WLCC room with Rabbi Chaim Baruch Halberstam and Rabbi Mendel Esienbach.
