2000-Year-Old Road to the Temple Unveiled

After six years of extensive archaeological excavations led by the Israel Antiquities Authority, a 350-meter-long section of the Pilgrimage Road was unveiled at a festive ceremony in the City of David. The project was funded by the City of David Foundation who plan to open up the site to the general public in the near future.

Gaza Arson Balloons Cause 20 Fires in One-Day Blitz

At least 20 fires started by incendiary balloons sent from Gaza were burning in southern Israel on Thursday. Some officials put the number of fires set from Thursday morning until late Thursday afternoon at 24, the largest number of fires started by the arson balloons in one day since the attacks became an almost daily occurrence last spring, the Times of Israel reported.

Dead Sea Area Rocked by Earthquake

An earthquake measuring 3.8 on the Richter Scale was felt in the area of the Dead Sea. The epicenter of the temblor that took place early on Wednesday afternoon was Ein Bokek in southern Israel, according to Israel’s Geophysical Institute. There were no injuries or damage reported.
