The New Underground Cemetery in Jerusalem
The world’s first modern underground cemetery was inaugurated in Jerusalem Wednesday. The innovative solution was to excavate some 24,000 “new” burial plots at the depth of 50 meters (about 160 feet) underground, with the first phase of about 8,000 graves expected to be available for burial towards the end of 2019.

Attempted Stabbing Attack Thwarted in Old City of Jerusalem
A terrorist attempted to stab a young man near Herod’s in Jerusalem and when he realized he could not perform his plot attempted to escaped the scene. The terrorist, a 16-year-old boy, was wounded by gunfire from security forces who tried to neutralize him and brought to the hospital for treatment. Two suspected aides were also arrested.

First Sighting of Israel’s ‘Air Force One’
The aircraft which is to serve as Israel’s ‘Air Force One’ was spotted at the Aircraft Division of Israel Aerospace Industries Sunday. Ynet journalist Itay Bluementhal reported that the top of the plane was painted blue and the bottom was painted white. In the tail of the plane is a giant Star of David and the words “State of Israel” are written on the body of the plane.
El Al Passengers Stranded in Switzerland Over Shabbat Due to Fog
Passengers on an El Al flight from Geneva that was scheduled to land at Ben Gurion airport on Friday afternoon were forced to remain in Switzerland until Saturday night due to the foggy conditions in Geneva, according to a Israel Hayom report.

Terrorist Neutralized After Ramming Attack on Border Police
A terrorist who allegedly tried to carry out a ramming attack against undercover Border Police officers and hit an armored vehicle was neutralized and evacuated in serious condition to the hospital. Border Police said that heavy damage was caused to the armored vehicle in which the fighters had been, but there were no IDF casualties.
Improvised Bomb Found During Secured Entry into Joseph’s Tomb
Last night, IDF fighters, Border Police forces, Israel Police and the Civil Administration secured the entry of about 1,350 visitors into the tomb of Joseph, located in Shechem. During the entry, an improvised explosive device was found and neutralized by the fighters. Prayers continued as planned.
