In this week’s edition of Letter and Spirit, we present a letter from the Rebbe written to President Ronald Reagan in 1982, thanking him for his good wishes on the occasion of the Rebbe’s birthday, along with a message of gratitude and encouragement to the president of the United States for his efforts in maintaining America’s greatness as a Super Power among the nations of the world. The letter was written in English through the Rebbe’s trusted secretary Rabbi Nissan Mindel, and was made available by the latter’s son-in-law, Rabbi Sholom Ber Shapiro.
