Following a recent initiative to expand the adult education services offered by Chabad-Lubavitch centers nationwide and abroad, Lubavitch Headquarters disclosed today through Lubavitch.com the names of 20 additional cities that have been approved for the program, for a total of 43 participating cities.
Port Washington, NY — A new Mikva has been built at Chabad of Port Washington and will be open as soon as they get a couple good rains and fills up the Mikva.

Baku, Azerbaijan — May 31st in the capital of Azerbaijan, a festive ceremony took place for laying the first stone of the Baku ‘Chabad Ohr Avner’ Educational Complex. This event signifies the joyous beginning a massive undertaking, sponsored by the Ohr Avner Foundation in partnership with the Geider Aliyev Foundation.

Mendy Engel (Tamarac, FL) , R. Sholom Ber Engel (Melbourne, Australia), R. Shaul Engel (Bayside, Australia), Estie Benhamou (Melbourne, Australia), Zevi Engel (Brooklyn) and Zeldie Engel (Crown Heights).
The Levaya will take place Tomorrow, Sunday and will be leaving from the Shomrei Hadaas Chapel at around 10:15am and will be passing by 770 at around 10:45am

Crown Heights, Brooklyn — Blood and spent bullets were seen scattered around at the intersection of Crown and Brooklyn this Shabbos afternoon.
According to eye witnesses two cars pulled up to the intersection where shouting and yelling was exchanged between the occupants of the two vehicles followed by gun shots.
The incident took place at around 1:00 in the afternoon where witnesses described a white van and a red sedan pulling alongside each other and exchange some shouting and two gun shots rang out.
S Peterburg, Russia — The entire Jewish community of S.Petersburg joined together in celebrating a joint Bar and Bat Mitzva ceremony, signifying the coming of age for numerous Jewish children from Russia’s northern capital. In accordance with Jewish tradition, this momentous event occurs for girls at the age of 12 years, while boys undergo this important ritual at 13.
This festivity represents the culmination of another year of activity under the city-wide ‘Bar/ Bat Mitzva’ project, sponsored and operated by the ‘Beit Chabad’ Community Center in S.Petersburg under the leadership of Rabbi Tzvi Pinski

Ft. Lauderdale, FL — A crane collapsed by Galt Ocean Drive in Ft. Lauderdale Saturday morning, crashing onto some power lines and damaging part of a synagogue.
The Chabad Lubavitch of Fort Lauderdale lost power due to the crane tipping over and snapping an electrical line providing power to the temple and other parts of the area.
8-4: This was the form of the menorah: hammered work of gold, from its base to its flower it was hammered work; according to the form that the Lord had shown Moses, so did he construct the menorah.
Manalapan, NJ — This past Sunday around seventy-five people gathered at a ceremony in the Chabad House of Manalapan to witness 13 students of Yeshiva Beis Menachem receive their Semicha.

And on May 17, at the fourth annual Spirit of Community Dinner, a fundraising awards gala hosted by the Beth Chabad Israeli Community Centre to benefit the growing Israeli community in the GTA, that’s exactly what what they did.

Crown Heights, Brooklyn –- Last night, the Jewish Children’s Museum hosted an innovative and exciting dinner in appreciation of the Friendship Circle at the Jewish Children’s Museum volunteers. Two New York TV reporters hosted the “Tomorrow Show“ celebrating the Friendship Circle’s mission of providing children with special needs with a brighter tomorrow. A take-off of the popular Today Show, the Tomorrow Show was full of moving ”news“ features, a hilarious ”weather report,” mock commercials and live musical accompaniment by Gershon Veroba and the Neshoma Orchestra.

New York, NY — Here’s another way to get a ticket in New York City. The city is cracking down on “blocking the box” vioolations. The city plans to hire 117 additional Traffic Enforcement Agents this year to look for motorists who get stuck in the intersection when the light changes red. Some drivers get caught by trying to squeeze through the intersection just as the light is changing.
