With profound sadness we inform you of the untimely passing this Shabbos of HaRav HaChossid Rabbi Eliyahu Engel OBM (70) of Crown Heights.

He leaves behind his wife Yehudis Engel, brother R. Yisroel Shmuel Engel (Pittsburg, PA) and children, Shternie Perline (Wesley Hills, NY), R. Yossi Engel (Crown Heights), R. Mendy Engel (Tamarac, FL) , R. Sholom Ber Engel (Melbourne, Australia), R. Shaul Engel (Bayside, Australia), Estie Benhamou (Melbourne, Australia), Zevi Engel (Brooklyn) and Zeldie Engel (Crown Heights).

The Levaya will take place Tomorrow, Sunday and will be leaving from the Shomrei Hadaas Chapel at around 10:15am and will be passing by 770 at around 10:45am

    Rabbi Engel Ob”m will be greatly missed, especially how he smiled at us when we would come for a meal or meet him on the street, he really is a special person, We need moshiach now!!! enough of this pain of people being taken from us left and right!!! ad mosai?

    We davened together in BLY; when I heard the news this morning I was shocked and saddened. A very nice man who did a lot for the shul, especially by making our Childrens Minyan a real success.

    Rabbi Engel Ob”m was a cousin of ours , he was trully a great man , always greeting us with a smile always with something nice to say , freindly , kind . His wife is a true tzadekes, may hashem give her all the strengh she needs!Rabbi Engel you will sorely be missed !!!

    Baruch Dayan Haemes. I used to sit near Rabbi Engel on Shabbos at BLY. He was a wonderful person. He was one of the first people to invite me for Shabbos when I moved to CH a year and 1/2 ago. He also used to give me insights into the parsha once in a while. I will miss him a lot.
