Council Member Tours Kingston Ave To Address Issues Facing Stores, Electricity Outages
Crown Heights Council Member Crystal Hudson and her Chief of Staff Casie Addison visited Kingston Avenue today and toured some of the local stores ahead of the upcoming summer season. Applications for Cooling Assistance Accepted Beginning May 1
Governor Kathy Hochul announced that $15 million is available through the Home Energy Assistance Program to help vulnerable, low-income New Yorkers without air conditioning to stay cool during the heat of summer. Eligible households include someone who has a documented medical condition exacerbated by extreme heat, or households with young children, or older adults.
