Council Member Tours Kingston Ave To Address Issues Facing Stores, Electricity Outages

Crown Heights Council Member Crystal Hudson and her Chief of Staff Casie Addison visited Kingston Avenue today and toured some of the local stores ahead of the upcoming summer season. They were accompanied by Rabbi Yaacov Behrman. This visit aimed to address the issues faced by the stores in the past, particularly regarding electricity and ConEd.

During the visit, Council Member Hudson took the time to speak with store owners and employees to understand the issues they were facing and discuss potential solutions. The tour was a valuable opportunity to assess the problems and come up with ideas to mitigate them.

Council Member Hudson also toured Hasofer, a store that specializes in creating Torah scrolls, to see the intricate process of creating a Torah scroll, from preparing the parchment to writing the text.

Speaking about the visit, Council Member Hudson said, “It was great to visit Kingston Avenue and see firsthand the issues that the stores have been facing. It was also fascinating to visit Hasofer. I look forward to working with the local businesses to find solutions that will help them thrive.”
