Israeli Consul Celebrates Shalit’s Release with Chabad
As word of Gilad Shalt’s release from Gaza broke Tuesday afternoon in Israel, Rabbis Yosef Lipsker, Elazar Kenig and Rabbi Yaakov Fridman, Chabad’s emissaries to the Russian Federation, joined members of the Israeli embassy in celebration. Arriving at the courtyard of the embassy in Moscow, they set up a portable sukkah.
A special energy radiated from the fullest crowd of the week, who danced non-stop knowing that this would be the last Simchas Beis Hashoevah of this year. At around 12:45am the crowd marched their way up Kingston Ave. to 770, where they recited the entire Tehillim as customary.

School President Visits Chabad Sukkah Mobile
The president of Wilfrid Laurier University, one of Canada’s top schools for business, visited the Chabad sukkah mobile on campus on Tuesday and learned about the Arba Minim.
A Sukka at the Pikesville Military Reservation Armory
For the first time, Sukkos was celebrated at the Pikesville Military Reservation Armory for the soldiers of the Maryland Defense Force. Chaplain Rabbi Chesky Tenenbaum, who is the only Jewish Chaplain at the Maryland Defense Force, arranged for a Sukka mobile to visit the Armory in Baltimore.
