Careless Driving Causes Three Car Accident
CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — A careless driver cut a taxi off and caused him to swerve and strike another vehicle and traffic signal pole. Two were injured and taken to local hospitals for treatment.
The incident occurred on Eastern Parkway at the intersection of Brooklyn Avenue at around 12:00pm. the driver that caused it all, a woman driving a red SUV westbound on the parkway, swerved into the traffic lane of a car service taxi that was traveling alongside her.
The taxi swerved to avoid hitting the SUV, and instead smashed into a minivan, which was full of Bochurim on their way to do Mivtzoim and waiting to cross the Parkway, and into a traffic signal pole.
The driver of the cab was treated by EMS, and the minivan by Hatzalah. BH there were no seriuse injuries reported.

Thank g-d noone was hurt but this is a great reminder to me and it should be to others as well. That no matter where we are going and what we are doing safety is number one. Always have enough seats in the car per passenger and wearing seatbelts is a must..
