This week, the Jewish Released Time program under the auspices of the NCFJE arranged winter camps for public school children during their winter vacation. Over 50 children attended the Brooklyn and Queens camps. The Brooklyn camp was hosted by United Lubavitch Yeshiva Ocean Parkway and Ohel Moshe Chevrah Tehillim, Lubavitch. The Queens camp hosted by Anshei Shalom Chabad.

Record Number Of Lawsuits Against NYPD
A record number of legal claims were filed against the New York City Police Department in fiscal year 2011, according to a report scheduled for release on Thursday. In fiscal 2011, which ended June 30, 2011, a total of 8,882 claims were filed against the NYPD, up from the previous high of 8,110 filed in fiscal year 2010, New York City Comptroller John Liu said in the report.

Students from Lubavitcher Yeshivas Second Grade were treated to a special lunch in Pomodori Pizza in honor of the shops 1st anniversary. After bentching the children recited Tanya by-heart, fulfilling the Rebbes directive in Hayom Yom.
