NEW FEATURE! A [Slightly Eccentric] Weekly Torah Thought

Rabbi Benny Hershcovich, Shliach in Cabo, Mexico, teamed up recently with CrownHeights.info to provide his weekly Parasha thought on the Torah portion.

Breaking the rigid norms when it comes to delivering a torah thought, Rabbi Benny delivers a thought related to the Parsha of the week in a video which is less then five minutes – in quite an interesting format you are sure to enjoy!

IYH this new feature will be published every Wednesday at 7:00pm.

Kept me listening with the jumping :) I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT, I was learning with my friend the very same Sicha and we didn’t fully understand it, so it was a blessing to hear it now and understand it. THANK YOU !!!! :)

  • Far from Eccentric

Benny has a great sense of humor. If one does not get it they maybe do not know him.

    thia is amazing!!
Rabbi Benny thank you so much.
I wouldn’t call it eccentric, more like awesome!

  • longing for Geula

I liked your style and delivery Rabbi, and the message was not lost despite the theatrics – they only enhanced it. Well done!

  • what would the rebbe say?

    embarrassing. this is lubavitch?

do people really believe such a video would pass, under the rebbes rules, to come out from an official chabad shliach?

  • AMAZING!!!

Amazing!!!! This is the first time I am interested in the Parsha of the week!!! Beautiful practical message!!!! Love it, keep it up!!!!!

  • To #17 What would the rebbe say?

Thank you for proving once again that there are negative morons who troll this website!!

  • This is Lubavitch

To #17, I think the Rebbe would be thrilled that someone was bringing the Parsha alive to the masses in a way that would make them interested and excited to follow what is happening. And in answer to your uneducated question, yes, this is exactly what Lubavitch is all about. The Rebbe was blasted for encouraging his Chassidim to put teffilin on Jewish people in the streets, and for spreading the word of Chassidus over the world wide web, and for sending shluchim all over the world to open Chabad Houses, but this did not stop the Rebbe and I am confident that your negative remarks won’t stop people like Rabbi Hershcovich from spreading Torah in such a fabulous way.

  • #22

I second that. Would the commenter have leaned this, or any other sicha of the Rebbe this week? Oh, we are higher-then-thou for criticizing, not to do better ourselves.

As a past Talmid in Unzere Shiur Hey, I would expect nothing less from Bentzi, it was only matter of time. Good deeds in Leeds – Bentzi…now Cabo. You know who…

  • do not ever make light of a tzadik

one can never make jokes about a Tzadik
    for example,
we don’t talk about Yosef Hatzadik ever as “Big Mighty Joe”
    It is simply not acceptable
and a terrible way to be mechanech adults let alone children

Much hatzlacha. Keep up your spreading Yiddishkeit- please use proper kovod for Tzaddikim and the Torah…
