Children Bake Matzah with Chabad at the Shore
Atlantic County children had the opportunity to bake their own Matzah for Passover at the Chabad Model Matzah Bakery. Children, together with their parents, participated in the entire baking process the way it is traditionally done in real Passover matzah bakeries.

Bedouin Muslim Inspires Jewish University Students
Over 50 students were amazed on hearing Yishmael Khaldi speak at Chabad of Liverpool Universities, on what they can do for Judaism and Israel. Yishmael is from a Bedouin village outside Haifa where he had to walk four miles to get to school, but that didn’t deter him from eventually achieving a Bachelor and Masters degree in political science.

South Brunswick Chabad Marks 10th Ann. with 1st Dinner
Over 200 people turned out last week for Chabad Jewish Center of South Brunswick’s ten year anniversary gala dinner celebration. Originally scheduled to take place in November, but was postponed due to Hurricane Sandy.

From Wheat to Flour and then Matzah
Every child knows that we eat Matzah on Pesach, but how is it made? Children got to make their own Matzah from scratch, beginning with grinding wheat into flour, then making the dough followed by rolling it and baking it into matzah. All this took place at the Model Matzah Bakery of Chabad of Syracuse.

Over 700 Bochurim Prepare for Pesach Merkos Shlichus
Traveling across the globe to run a Seder in a isolated community for the Jewish families that would otherwise not have it is not a easy task. It means living your family for the holiday of Pesach and doing everything from a-to-z alone. from carrying matza and wine to Kashering a local kitchen as well as preparing to host a interactive Seder for some who this will be their only Jewish experience of the year.
Our Heroes: Rabbi Zalman Shimon Dworkin (1901-1985)
Reb Zalman Shimon Dworkin, the Rav and Mora D’asra of the Crown Heights community for twenty years, was born in 1901 in Rogotchov to Reb Yerucham and Rivka. Reb Zalman Shimon’s father was a G-d fearing person and a teacher of unique caliber who taught children unable to afford tuition. Despite his resultant poverty, Reb Yerucham moved his son from the cheder where he was learning to that of Reb Elozor Garelik. Reb Elozor was an expert and searched after teacher whose students generally were from more affluent families.
