  • Why do we care?

Is this a model for our children????

    Seriously, I don’t think so.

    • Yes! Show This to Your Kids!

Donating blood is a tremendous Mitzvah! You can save up to 3 lives with one donation!
I think that more people should start donating, Rabbi Lieder, may he be blessed, has blood drives in Ahavas Chesed every few weeks but there is often a very low turnout. If only people would know how important it is they would be lining up outside.

  • well

to number #2 and 3 I will teach you! The purpose is.. There are some people who can’t pump blood on their own so when they run out of blood they cant live c”v!! so healthy people like you and me.. keep on generating more and more blood so if we donate we will just generate more in our body doesnt hurt us! does it?

  • #3

Click on #1 link, see how many lives blood donation can save as well as many other benefits!

  • Why donate?

Blood donations for many patients, cancer patients are among the most common recipients.Blood transfusions are also used daily for surgery patients, accident victims, organ transplant recipients and burn patients also need blood donations as well.
As a matter of fact, statistics show that 25 percent or more of us will need blood at least once in our lifetime.
One donation can help save the lives of up to three people.
So to all those reading, whether you are a fan of Lipa or not, next time the opportunity arises to donate blood, please find it in your heart (no pun intended) and go out and donate!
    Give blood give life!

  • Thank You Lipa

Thank you for bringing awareness to this very important cause. And of course, thank you Rabbi Lieder!

  • Deena

I have been donating blood since the age of 18. It is such an amazing mitzvah to do..
I wish more people in our community would come in & donate..
As the pasuk says: “he who saves one life, it is as if he saves the entire world”

3 people are helped with each donation!

To #2, when was the last time YOU gave something of yourself selflessly???

  • Blood Donations?

Do you care about others? Then give blood-it is as simple as that. I have had relatives, healthy, no problem, walking around, next thing they need mutliple blood units if they want to see the next day. It is a tremendous mitzva, and very easy to do.
