Shluchim Discuss Anti-Semitism with EU Commissioner
A delegation of the European Jewish Association (EJA), headed by its General Director Rabbi Menachem Margolin; Rabbi Binyomin Jacobs, Chief Rabbi of The Netherlands; Rabbi Avi Tawil, director of the European Jewish Community Centre; and Rabbi Mendel Pevzner of the European Jewish Youth Association, met with the European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Multilingualism, Sport, Media and Youth, Androulla Vassiliou, in order to address Rabbi Margolin’s recent call to establish a pan-European taskforce in order to annihilate anti-Semitism, following the recent terror attack in Brussels.

Maintaining Jewish life in the heart of the Amazon is anything but simple for Rabbi Arieh and Dvorah Lea Raichman, who settled in Manaus, Brazil, in 2009. Jews Pray for Safety and Aid as Military Action Increases in Eastern Ukraine
It’s past 10 p.m. in Donetsk, Ukraine, and the streets are empty. The city’s public transportation system is silent—the trains and buses now cease operating at 8 p.m.—and most residents have shut themselves within their own homes. With masked men toting Kalashnikov rifles roaming the streets, the Jewish community of Donetsk finds itself praying for its safety and for the safety of all citizens in this eastern city near the border with Russia.

Wheel Thefts Resume: Brooklyn and Carroll
After a long winter hiatus, the Crown Heights wheel thieves are back in business. Their latest victim: a white Acura sedan parked on Brooklyn Ave. near the corner of Carroll St., whose wheels were stolen in middle of the night and the car’s body left resting on crude cinderblocks.
