The NYPD’s Special Victims Unit is investigating a report that a young woman, who is visiting from Israel for the month of Tishrei, was assaulted while sleeping in the women’s section of 770. With the help of Shomrim, police have successfully apprehended the suspect, who has since been charged with the crime.

At a busy mall in the Israeli city of Netanya, hundreds turned out to celebrate the inauguration of a synagogue in memory of Lt. Hadar Goldin and Oron Shaul, two Israeli soldiers killed in the recent Gaza war.
While much of the focus during the month of Tishrei is on the guests, Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim has not forgotten the local Bochurim who are currently in bein hazmanim. A special panel of distinguished speakers gave some 500 attendees a walk through – in English – of the years of Sukkos and Simchas Torah with the Rebbe.
