From Days Gone By: One of the First Sukkah Mobiles

In this photo collection from Lubavitch Archives, one of the very first ‘sukkah mobiles’ can be seen on the streets of College Park, Maryland. The photos were taken on Chol Hamoed Sukkos, circa 1970.

The sukkah mobile shown was built in the backyard of R’ Yaakov Greenstein‘s home, on the bed of a rented U-haul pickup truck. It is staffed by R’ Yisroel Meir Brill and R’ Moshe Silverman.
