Drugs Stashed in Peanut Butter Delivered to Kahan’s
Kahan’s Superette, a kosher food grocery store in Crown Heights, found itself in a sticky situation when 10 bags of marijuana — stashed inside vacuum-sealed bags of peanut butter — showed up in the mail. A similar incident occurred at a different Kingston Ave. establishment two years earlier.

Marking 5 Years, Besht Begins New Torah
This Evening, Yud Alef Nissan, the community of the Besht Shul began the writing a brand new Sefer Torah marking five years to the founding of the Shul. The new Torah is being dedicated in memory of the wives of one of the congregants as well as that of the Shuls Rabbi.

Obama Declares Rebbe’s Birthday ‘Education Day’
The anniversary of the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s birth—Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of righteous memory—is again officially a day of special note for American citizens. President Barack Obama signed a proclamation declaring March 31, 2015, corresponding to the 11th day of the Hebrew month of Nissan, as “Education and Sharing Day, USA.”
