A Palestinian terrorist wounded three Israelis in a stabbing attack in Rishon Letzion, and a 71-year-old Israeli man was stabbed in Netanya today in a non-ending wave of Palestinian violence that broke out over a month ago.

The annual global conference of Chabad emissaries, or shluchim, will begin at week’s end in New York City. About 3,500 shluchim are expected to take part, and to discuss matters at the center of Jewish life worldwide.

Today, Monday, the 20th day of the Hebrew month of Cheshvan, marks the 155th anniversary of the birth of visionary Jewish leader and Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Sholom Dovber Schneersohn. Though he lived only to age 59, he served as a noted leader for the largely rural Jewish communities throughout the expanses of the Russian Empire, guiding their transition to life in the modern era. During his life, he fought the oppression of both the Czarist and Bolshevik regimes as well as the tides of assimilation corroding traditional Jewish life.

Building Plans Filed for 122 New Apartments
Plans for a seven story 129,724 square foot apartment building on S. Johns Place have been filed with the Department of Buildings, of which 83,789 will be residential and make up 122 apartments averaging around 650 square feet per apartment.
Vizhnitzer Rebbe Receives Unique Gift
Rabbi Hershel Lustig, principal of Oholei Torah, paid a visit to the Vizhnitzer Rebbe of Bnei Brak, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Hager, who is currently residing in Crown Heights during an extended visit to the United States. The purpose of his visit was to gift ‘Reb Mendeleh’ a special sefer, which bears a connection between the two men.
