With most of the United States now in freezing temperature territory, it is about to get even worse in New York City as forecasters are expecting a winter hurricane, which is also known as a “bomb cyclone.”

As the year 2017 came to a close, the New York City Health Department released vital statistics for births over the previous year. Rounding out the list of most popular names, they included five Jewish girls’ names and four boys’ names. The city also saw an overall decline in the birthrate.

Rubashkin Joins Recreation of Unity for Justice Video
Stars and community activists got together in Monsey, New York to recreate the “Unity for Justice” video that was produced seven years ago to raise awareness for the unusually harsh sentence imposed on Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin. At the event they were joined by Rubashkin, who sang together with the performers.
