Weekly Letter: “G-d is all” and “All is G-d”

In connection with the parsha – where Moshe pleads for forgiveness after the sin of the golden calf and asks Hashem to reveal His ways – we share a letter of the Rebbe in which he explains two ways to arrive at the understanding and service of G-d: “G-d is all” and “All is G-d.” This eye-opening letter explains briefly yet clearly a basic teaching of chasidus – the making of an abode for G-d in this lowest physical world.

Center City, Philly: New Mikvah in Old Synagogue

Center City, Philadelphia is home to some of the oldest synagogues in the United States, like the first Ashkenazic congregation established in the Western Hemisphere in 1795. One of these historic synagogues, the 100-year-old Vilna shul, known for its warm, inclusive services, is renovating its vintage sanctuary and moving weekly prayer services to the third floor to allow a new women’s mikvah to be built in its place.

Annual Dinner to Benefit Central Gmach of the FSU in Moscow

Chabad of Moscow hosted a Melavah Malka in honor and benefit of the central Gmach in Russia, “Keren Chaya Mushka”, which was founded eighteen years ago in blessed memory of the young shlucha Chaya Mushka a’h Lazar, daughter of Russia’s Chief Rabbi Berel Lazar. Since then, thousands of Jews all over the FSU have received, and continue to receive, assistance daily, in a respectable and dignified manner, through one or another of its many programs.
