BDE: Rabbi Ephraim Rosenblum, 85, OBM

With great sadness we report the passing of Rabbi Ephraim Rosenblum OBM, a Chassid, Shliach, and principal at the Yeshiva Schools in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He passed away on Monday, the 3rd of Tishrei, 5781.

He was a familiar sight in Jerusalem, humbly making his way to one yeshivah or another, ready to deliver a class on whatever area of Torah he was asked. Rabbi Zalman Nechemia Goldberg, who passed away on Aug. 20 at the age of 89, was a Torah scholar of the highest caliber, whose devotion to Torah transcended communal boundaries and political affiliation, teaching in institutions whose affiliation ran the gamut from Chassidic to Religious Zionist.

After 6 months of fear, pain, and the unknown, the children of Rabbi Yudi Dukes were finally allowed into the hospital to see their father, feel his embrace, and to receive a personal blessing for Rosh Hashana from him in person.
