Weekly Story: Where We Stand
When King Antiyuchis ruled over Eretz Yisroel and (amongst his other evil actions) declared it illegal to read publically the weekly Torah Parsha, in order to remind the populace of what the parsha was speaking about, the sages instituted that we say passages of the prophets that discuss a similar theme to what we would have been reading in the Torah.

Weekly Story: All Just to Help One More Person
The man did as he was told, and after standing there for some time, he saw a car pull up in front of the Rebbe’s house and like he was told, someone got out and opened the door on the passenger side and stood there. That must be the secretary he thought and that means the Rebbe is about to come out. Sure enough, a moment later, the door of the Rebbe’s house opened and the Rebbe began walking down towards the car.
