CTeen Goes South of the Border

CTeen’s second annual Winter Camp recently completed a lively and engaging five-day camp for boys in S. Paulo, Brazil. The program, which was overseen by Merkos’ Spanish took place over five days. The thirty-two teens—most of whom arrived from Colombia, Brazil, and Argentina—were treated to some of Brazil’s best and most exciting locations in true CTeen manner with chayus and inspiration.

Chabad of North Haven Finds a New Home

Since its 2013 founding, Chabad North Haven, New York, has been restrained in its potential.There was no concrete meeting place. Rather, East End residents searching for a spiritual outlet met in a hodgepodge of accommodations: a person’s den one week, another individual’s kitchen the next—whatever made itself available. It was a communal effort, though one that stymied growth and outreach.

Chabad Unveils New Tech Innovation Lab on Campus

Chabad at the University of Illinois has unveiled a purpose-built innovation and study co-working space. The concept was suggested by U of I alumni Steve Mendes, the project was funded in part by the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and the Goldstick family, and aims to create a new hub for innovative students at the University of Illinois to learn more about the basics of entrepreneurship, enable them to source internships in their chosen field of study in a collaborative environment.

Netanyahu Gifted Hungarian Translated Talmud

For the first time in the history of the country, a sitting Israeli prime minister paid a diplomatic visit to the Hungarian capital of Budapest. While there, he was gifted with a copy of the Hungarian Talmud, which was recently published after a decade of work by Hungary’s chief Chabad emissary, Rabbi Boruch Oberlander.
