Alternate side parking regulations will be suspended on Monday, May 29 for the observance of Memorial Day. Because Memorial Day is a major legal holiday, parking meter regulations will also be suspended.
On major legal holidays, stopping, standing, and parking are permitted, except in areas where stopping, standing, and parking rules are in effect 7 days a week (for example, “No Standing Anytime”).

We have received reports that a man is trying to pick up young children by posing as a “police officer” from a Cleveland. He is said to have approached children showing them a badge and asking them to “show him directions” to different local streets or avenues.
Description; white male, with a small beard and a silver tooth, wearing a blue and black cap, blue jeans, and a white T-shirt with a picture on it. (Be advised that while this is the clothing he was wearing when he was first spotted and it is thus worth nothing, he could easily change into other clothing – a different hat, a jacket covering his shirt, etc.). He was seen driving a dark-colored (dark blue, black, dark green, etc.) an SUV type vehicle.
The polls open up today at 2 locations, one at the Kingston Ave. entrance to 770 (Tiferes Zikeinim Levi Yizchak), and the second location is at 392 Kingston Ave.. The polls will open at 8:00 am and 9:00 am respectively, and will close at 11:00 pm.
The candidates are Rabbi Yitzchok Raitport, Rabbi Shloime Segal and Rabbi Yitzchok Zirkind.

Small Wonder Puppet Theater! @ ULY
In Lubavitcher Yeshiva Crown St. on Tuesday (Yortziat of the Tzemach Tzedek) there will be a puppet show and lunch for the kids during the afternoon.
12:30 – 1:00 will be lunch, the puppet show starts at 1:00pm. Admission is $1 a Sandwich is $1 and a Drink is $1.
The letters contain the Z’manim for all things that need to be done on Erev Pesach and Pesach, as well as times for selling Cometz by R. Heller, R. Osdoba and R. Schewi, as well as a letter about giving Maaot Chitim.

Tonight at 2:00am we will be entering Daylight Savings Time and we move the clock one hour forward, and loose an hour of sleep.
So make sure to change your clocks before you get to bed as to avoid any confusion (and being an hour late to everything).

OK Labs released a statement stating that “Due to Kashrus violations, Mendy’s Restaurant (792 Eastern Parkway) is no longer under OK Kosher Certification. This is effective immediately.”

Tomorrow [Sunday] an auction will be held to benefit the Bais Rivkah High School Shabbaton. Showing begins at 4:00pm, entertainment at 5:00pm and the drawing be at 6:00pm. Admission is $5 which includes a $3 ticket and a light buffet will be served.

Did you know that the Teacher’s Union is spending millions of dollars in their attempts to kill the Education Tax Credit plan set to pass in our state’s capitol?
That means, unless we do something right away, you can forget about the $500 per child tax credit for education expenses you are supposed to get.
There are only 4 days left until the New York State Legislature votes – everyone has to call now and tell our politicians to support Tax Credits specifically for Education.
The best person to call is Assembly Speaker Shelly Silver. He can really push this thing through.
