Harav Menachem Mendel Lobkowsi, the Menahel of Bayis V’Gan in Yerushalayim visited Har Hertzel to put in Tefillin with the soldiers and visitors who came for Israels Rememberence Day. The son of Benjamin Netanyahu, Avner Netanyahu, also put on Tefillin.
It is agreed by all that the most hotly contested disagreement in shuls across the world is its temperature. For some it is always too hot, others too cold, and the poor Gabbai is always caught in the middle. This Gabbai just gave up trying to please anyone, I wonder how that worked out……..

In 1905, during the times of the Pogroms in Russia, a story is told of the Rebbe as a child. At the time, the Jews would hide in silence in a cellar, fearing for their lives. When one of the children would start to cry, the Rebbe, as a three year old, would approach each one in their own way to calm them down. These photos are allegedly from that cellar in Russia.
Rabbi Yirmi Cohen visited Member of Paliament of the Government of Canada, Mr. Michael Levitt, of Toronto, and gave him Hand Baked Matza for the Passover Seders. He also sold his chametz (unleavened bread) and put on Tfillin. He is one of the few Jewish M.P’s in the Canadian Government.
