5-Year-Old NYC Boy Feared to Have Ebola

A 5-year-old boy, who recently returned from West Africa, is being observed in isolation at Bellevue Hospital in New York City for possible Ebola symptoms. If he tests positive, it would mark the second incidence of the deadly virus’ spread to New York City.

Has Ebola Arrived in NYC?

Today, the FDNY EMS HAZ and TAC Units transferred to Bellevue Hospital a patient who presented a fever and gastrointestinal symptoms. The patient is a health care worker who returned to the U.S. within the past 21 days from one of the three West African countries currently facing the outbreak of this virus.

NYC Speed Limit to Be Reduced to 25 MPH

Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed legislation Saturday to lower New York City’s speed limit from 30 mph to 25 mph, saying slowing down will cut down on pedestrian and motorist deaths. The new limit is expected to go into effect in three months, once the city approves its own law formalizing it.
