Reb Abba is survived by Yibadlu Lechaim Tovim his brother Reb Yisroel Balkin in LA, and his sister Leah Edelman in Paris, France.

With great sadness and pain we inform you of the tragic and untimely passing of Mrs. Shaindel (nee Kartin) Steinhauser OBM at the age of 51.

She leaves behind her husband, Chaim and two kids, Abba and Sara all of whom live in Crown Heights.

The Levaya will take place Today, Sunday, and will be leaving from the Shomrei Hadas Chapel at 12:30pm and will be passing by 770 at around 1:00pm.

With deep pain sadness and shock we inform you of the terribly tragic passing, of a HaBochur HaTomim Gershon ben R. Mordechai Leib A”H Gorodetsky, at the age of 34, earlier this morning when he was struck by a train in the Kingston Avenue Subway station.

The Levaya will take place Today, Thursday, and will be leaving from the Shomrei Hadas Chapel at around 2:00pm and will be passing by 770 at around 2:30pm

TRAGEDY: Bochur Killed in the Subway

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — The harrowing message came down the wire early this morning, at around 8:00am, that there was a victim struck by a train and killed L”A in the Kingston Avenue Subway station.

Hatzalah, Shomrim and Chesed Shel Emes all arrived on scene along with NYPD ESU and FDNY EMS and tended to the victim, who was killed instantly.

With great pain and sadness we inform you of the passing of Reb Meir Itkin at the age of 96. Reb Meir was born in the village of ‘Nevel’ in Russia on Chof Tammuz 5671.

Reb Meir was a fixture in 770 with his house just a few feet away, where he was seen Davening and Farbrenging every Shabbos and then some! His daily Chavrusa with Reb Yehuda Chitrik A”H in 770 was familiar sight as well.

The Levaya will be Tommrow, Friday, and will be leaving for the Shomrai Hadas Chapels at around 11:30am and will be passing by 770 at around 12:00pm.

The Tzfasman family will be sitting Shiva until Tuesday after the tragic and very untimely passing of their son and sibling HaBochur HaTomim Yisroel Noach OBM who was struck and killed L”A by a train. They will be sitting shiva at their home at 551 Crown St [between Kingston and Albany Ave].

Shachris will be at 9 AM, Mincha at 7 PM, followed by Maariv.

Letter from the parents of Ruchama Aliza Sara Chana Bas Esther Liba.

We would like to thank our families, friends, and the wonderful community of North Miami Beach. We are sure that all of your tefillos and acts of chesed are penetrating shamayim and are giving us chizuk during this difficult time. We love our sweet and beautiful Ruchama Aliza so much. Nelson is Out and Terrorizing us Again

CrownHeights.info and Shomrim are turning to the general public in a request to please keep an extra eye out for this man.

He is known as Derrik Nelson, he is the perpetrator behind dozens upon dozens of car break-ins causing damages in the tens of thousands of dollars to cars in our community along with the added aggravation and inconvenience of needing to fix the damage. Due to the nature of the crime which is classified as a GLA (Grand Larceny Auto) which is a crime that carries a little if any jail time.

Shomrim are out every night patrolling our streets but they still need the publics help, if you see him or anyone lurking around and suspicious call the Shomrim hotline at (718) 774-3333 at anytime to alert patrolling members to keep an extra eye on him and prevent this slew of break-ins.
