Crown Heights, Brooklyn — At 5:00pm today a prayer vigil will be held in front of the 71st Precinct for Officer Russell Timoshenko who was shot twice in the head and neck early Monday morning while performing a traffic stop along with his partner Officer Herman Yan.

Officer Russell Timoshenko, 23, was reported to be in grave condition with two wounds to the face and with bullets lodged in the back of his skull. His partner, Officer Herman Yan, 26, also was wounded, but a shot to his chest was stopped by his bullet-resistant vest.

With sadness we inform you of the tragic passing of Daniel Aghami HYD, who was killed by a roadside bomb in Baghdad, Iraq late last week, while serving on active duty. He was only 25 years old.
Daniel graduated with highest honors from Hebrew Academy-Lubavitch in Margate, FL and his parents Yiabdlu Lechaim Tovim, Beth and Itzack are members of Chabad of Boynton Beach, FL.

With great sorrow we inform the untimely passing of Rabbi Sholom Ber Vishedsky of Crown Heights. Rabbi Sholom Ber was the eldest son of the renowned Mashpia, the Rov and Chossid, Rabbi Moshe Vishedsky, a'h, and son-in-law of the Rov and Chossid, Rabbi Aba Pliskin, a'h.
Rabbi S.B. Vishedsky served as Rosh Yeshiva of 'Hadar Hatorah' and Rabbi of the Reines shul on Troy Avenue in Crown Heights. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rivkah, sons, daughters and grandchildren. His brother and sister: Rabbi Bentzion of Kfar Chabad, Rabbi Michel of Kfar Chabad, Rabbi Shlomo of Kfar Chabad and Mrs. Sarah Zaklas of Nachalas Har Chabad.
