CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — Just as Yom Tov concluded Hatzalah received a call from neighbors who were concerned for the wellbeing of Mrs. Shlima Esther (Sandra) Blumenfield, a 62 year old woman who has been living in Crown Heights for many years, the concern growing after Mrs. Blumenfield was not seen for nearly 6 days and skipping out on a number of Shabbos an Yom Tov meals.

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — A nine year old Jewish girl was struck by a van as she was crossing a street in a crosswalk. The incident took place on Brooklyn and Crown at around 6:00pm today, Tuesday the van was making a right turn from Brooklyn and stuck the girl.
The driver immediately stopped and called 911, while witnesses called Hatzalah, all of whom responded within moments and began treating the young girl for a leg injury and then transported the girl to a local hospital for further treatment.

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — Today, Sunday at around 2:30pm, a 13 year old Bochur was struck by a car while riding his bike on Kingston Avenue and Carroll Street, moments later the offending vehicle fled the scene.

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — A loud crash rang though the intersection of Empire Boulevard and Kingston Avenue at around 12:15am last night. According to witnesses the blue Ford SUV was seen crossing the intersection at a high speed when a white sedan hit the SUV in its rear, spinning it out of control then rolling over and coming to a rest on its roof.

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — Over Shabbos and Motzai Shabbos there were three accidents in Crown Heights, the most serious of which took place just as Shabbos ended, where an Israeli Bochur crossed Eastern Parkway and was struck by a passing livery cab, causing injuries and was transported by Hatzalah to Kings County Hospital.

An elderly woman was struck and killed by two cars Saturday night while crossing a Brooklyn street.
Police say Nezilia Augustin, 71, was crossing the street shortly before 10 p.m. at Eastern Parkway and Utica Avenue in Weeksville when she was struck by one vehicle then the other as she was crossing the street.

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — A young teen was struck by a car while crossing an Eastern Parkway service lane. The incident took place Thursday afternoon at around 3:00pm between Albany and Kingston Avenues.
A staff member from the Darchai Menachem school who is also a Shomrim member witnessed how the 14 year old teen, who was not Jewish, darted out from in between two parked cars and a passing car, driven by a Hispanic, attempted to stop but couldn’t and ran over the teen.

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — Just moments ago, at around 3:00pm, a pedestrian was struck while trying to cross Eastern Parkway and Kingston Avenue. A Hatzalah ambulance that was passing on their way to assist at another accident witnessed the incident and stopped to help.

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — Three cars were involved in an accident earlier today at around 12:30pm. The incident took place at the intersection of Eastern Parkway and Albany Avenue where a car waiting by the stop sign in the service lane was struck from the rear and sent flying into the intersection and into another car, that car subsequently lost control and crashed in the brick fence of the Chanoch Lanaar building.

One vehicle struck two other cars traveling in the opposite direction then came to rest when it collided with a pole at the intersection of Nostrand and Eastern Parkway.

The incident took place at the intersection of President Street and New York Avenue where according to witnesses a Toyota Sedan took a red light and collided with a minivan.

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — As snow began falling Tuesday afternoon the accident reports came flooding in, the first in Crown Heights was involving a police car from the 73rd Precinct on Eastern Parkway and another vehicle which collided head on. The reports then came in from across the neighborhood causing treacherous traffic conditions in addition to the treacherous driving conditions.

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — The sound of two vehicles colliding was heard all the way to Montgomery and Albany, a minivan attempting to make a left turn from Empire up to Troy was struck by a sedan going straight down Empire in the other direction, the force of the collision sent one car onto the sidewalk while the other spun 180 degrees and winding up facing the other direction.
